Berry picking evening on Cave Hill

Date:
Thursday 26 July 2012 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Grab your jerrycan for a bilberry picking extravaganza. We will head up the hill to the heights of McArt's Fort where the delicious wild berries grow.
Bilberries are like small blueberries but difficult to spot. Our staff will show you where the delicious berries are growing for you to harvest!

The walk to the bilberries should take about 1 hour and includes some steep uphill parts. This walk is not suitable for children under 6.  All children must be accompanied at all times by an adult.

Afterwards we'll wash the berries and eat them with some delicious Clandeboye yoghurt supplied by the lovely Holstein and Jersey cows at the Clandeboye Estate.

Wrap up warm, wear sturdy walking boots and bring drinking water and a snack.

Price £1 for adults. Children, unemployed and Friends of the Belfast Hills go free. Please book by email or phone to ensure we have adequate numbers of leaders.
