Smart conservation bursaries for graziers
If you would like to work with livestock but get to know your onions in looking after our grasslands and meadows for grazing rare breeds then have a look at these courses. Successful candidates will be involved in all aspects of general cattle care and livestock skills. There will be oppurtunity to learn skills such as stone dyking, habitat monitoring and surveillance skills will be gained through time spent with the Northern Ireland Environment Agency and Ulster Wildlife Trust during May, June and July. The trainees project will be based on Irish Moiled Cattle as conservation graziers.
The Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) has awarded a grant of £260,121 under its Skills for the Future programme to the Grazing Advice Partnership. Two 9 month traineeships are available in Northern Ireland.
