It was another hugely popular bus and walking tour of the Belfast Hills on Saturday. Led by Dr Jim Bradley, the Wheels n’ Wildlife tour took in all the public sites on the hills from Carnmoney in the north to Slievenacloy in the south. The rain stayed away on June 20 and passengers got spectacular views from the top of Divis and Black Mountain and Cave Hill. The tour was a sell out and a great success, especially the now legendary stop off at the Ballymac to sample their famous homemade scones, tea and coffee. “As always there was a great turnout and a very interesting bunch of people who came and learned much about the hills, their wildlife and people,” said Jim. “There was much talk about the wildlife, the heritage of the sites and of course everything is always lovely when we’ve a bit of sunshine,” he said.
